A perpendicular hole was bored for a shake and charged with gunpowder, the hole being wet part of the charge was put in a rubber bag and part ran on top loose. When the explosion occurred it was feeble and deceased and the owner proceeded to the hole and he had just inserted a rod to examine when a second explosion occurred.
