Deceased was stooping coal and had just begun a new " lift" about 10 feet wide; he had taken out the bottom portion, and put up two props under the head portion, and was in the act of coming out from under the head portion when it suddenly fell upon him. The movement of the strata caused by the stooping operations was the cause of the sudden burst.
