Scots Mining Tragedy - Killed While Filling Last Hutch - Charles Mulholland, miner, Condorrat, Croy, was killed by a fall of material from the roof in Auchengeich Colliery, Chryston. Mulholland was filling his last hutch prior to stopping his shift when the fall enveloped him. He was well known as a footballer, playing half-back for Cumbernauld Thistle and formerly Croy Celtic.
