Deceased and another workman were ripping down bind on a level and had cut along one side, but failed to get the stone down. Without safeguarding himself by again setting timber under the stone, he proceeded to do further cutting and while thus engaged the roof came away twice the thickness expected and killed him. It was found that the stone had fallen away at two concealed slips.
