Fall of roof at road while placing on the rails a tram which had been tied up on one side of the roadway, a piece of roof, 11ft. by 2ft. 10ins. by 2ft. 8ins. fell upon him An airway was being driven in the coal at this place, and the coal had been worked away from the side of the rippings of the heading. Therefore the roof which fell was overhanging and should have been supported. Two officials bad visited the place but gave no instructions to set timber under it. Red Vein. Safety lamps.
