- Details of Event
- Deceased and another man were engaged in setting liner bars at a pass-bye on a haulage road. They had put in one other bar and had put up the trees ready for another, when the roof collapsed, burying deceased, who was dead when got out. The full was about 9 feet long and 5.5 feet high up to a coal roof at which it parted, the strata being chiefly a soft clod through which a small quantity of water percolated. Four bars were reeled out by the fall.
