Deceased and another were sent to get a piece of rock down at a low place in a gate road in the Double Coal. Deceased stood on one side of the spot and his mate at the other side knocked on the lump, when it fell, and a portion of it struck deceased in the back, causing injuries to the spine from which he died on 1st December, 1907.
