Heavy fall of roof clift and rock in consequence of a clay slip, and the timbering distance fixed by the manager being too great. Nine feet apart is at times sufficient but occasions like this occur when the stone is too thick to allow of judging by sounding, and unexpected slips are met with; to guard against these conditions closer timbering is required.
