Details of Event
Fall of roof at his working face in the Elled Seam while filling a train of coal. The fall occurred from slants which apparently could not be seen owing to a black shale covering them. The place was fairly well timbered but the examiner’s district seems to have been too large for efficient supervision. The roof appears to be strong and consequently does not receive the same care as a friable roof.
