Deceased and a repairer had bored a hole about two feet in the roof, and were putting a Saxonite cartridge with detonator into it, when by some means it exploded. He was using a brass scraper, and must, I think, have exerted considerable force and struck the detonator. He was accustomed to handling explosives.
