As deceased was passing between two wagons under the screens of No.7 Pit, a loaded wagon was run out from No.6 Pit screens, and crushed him to death. The man who lowered the wagon said that he had put a scotch on the rail to prevent it colliding with those in front, hut that owing to the wet state of the rails it failed to act, but slid on in front.
