Falls in Mines – Falls of Sides – He left his station at the foot of a cut chain brae and went up the brae to the face of No.4 road. He then went down the line of face to No.3 road, and took a pinch bar from there to No.2 road. When returning up No.3 a length of holed coal fell and crushed him against a prop, causing fatal injuries. Deceased had Contravened General Regulation4. If he had stayed at his proper place at the brae foot he would not have been killed.
