- 5 December 1932: Stirling Pit Fatality - Edward Moir, aged 50, stated to belong to Edinburgh, was killed while engaged at work in Hill-Hall Colliery, Stirling. Moir, who resided at Bannockburn Road, St Ninians, was engaged at the coal-cutting machine, when, it is thought, he stumbled over a bar and was revolved round the machine. Death was instantaneous.
