- While assisting a pony driver to change the tubs on a roadway having an inclination of 1 in 10, he foolishly tried to hold an empty tub by placing his back against it. The driver unhooked his horse, which turned and passed by the side of the empty tub. It is surmised that the pony touched the tub and to caused it to overpower deceased, who fell and was severely crushed by the tub, and died on the following day. A locker was quite close, and lie might have used it to control the tub.
