Whilst drilling a hole in the bottom of quarry, a barrel, containing water, was being swung round by the crane, fell on his head. The crane chain was hooked on to an old iron rod passed through holes in the wood staves of the barrel, the iron rod forced up pieces of the wood, allowing the barrel to fall away. It was not in proper attachment.
