Details of Event
A piece of band stone fell on to his left foot. He took off his boot and examined his foot and found one toe bruised; the skin was not broken and he completed his shift. After getting home and changing, he walked to and from Spennymoor Races, some four miles. On returning home he went to bed and blood poisoning set in he died a week afterwards.
