A large mass of limestone, about 6 tons weight, fell from 11 feet above the floor of the quarry It was free on two sides, one a clay back, the other a dry back, both were clearly defined and known. It was in a dangerous state and ought to have been got down. A third man narrowly escaped. 2 killed.
