Details of Event
This accident occurred at the face of a whole place in the Ballarat seam. He was seen at 2 pm. by the deputy and was then all right. As he did not come out to the kist at the usual time, viz., 3.45pm., the deputy went inbye to look for him he found him lying under a fall of roof, dead. The stone had fallen from between two parallel slips running at right angles to the face. A plank, and a prop and headtree had been knocked out by the fall.
