15 July 1919: Cambuslang Pit Fatality – After having assisted in firing a shot in the Flemington Coal Company's Gateside Colliery, Cambuslang, Michael M'Laughlin, 51, a brusher, was on his way to partake of a meal when he was killed by the fall of a stone weighing several tons.
