Details of Event
Deceased was one of five boys employed at a picking table, and when there was no coal coming to the screens they apparently amused themselves by going through the fencing and playing on the moving jigging screen. Deceased was doing this when he was caught by the revolving shafting, carried round and knocked against the flooring above a number of times, and was so severely injured that he died next day.
