The deceased with others was drawing timber. Having failed to pull out a prop with a go block and chain he proceeded to loosen the foot of the prop with his pick. He undermined it so far that the prop slipped out and the large stone which it was supporting fell upon him. Temporary timber should have been set whilst the prop was being loosened.
