30 December 1924: Kelty Miner's Death – Result of Accident in Pit – Another mining fatality has taken place in West Fife, the victim being Archibald M'Gill, 40, a miner residing at 24 Nasmyth Place, Kelty. M'Gill was at work in the Beath “Dook Section” of the Aitken pit on Friday night when he was injured. He was removed to the Dunfermline and West Fife Hospital, where he died on Tuesday morning.
