- 5 February 1920: Larkhall – Another fatal accident occurred at Woodside Colliery, Dalserf, on Thursday night, whereby Robert M'Donald, who resided at Oak Place, lost his life as the result of a large stone falling on his head from the roof. [The Lanarkshire 7 February 1920]
Larkhall – On Monday afternoon the remains of Robert M'Donald, Oak Place, Ayr Road (?), the victim of the colliery accident at the end of last week were laid to rest in Larkhall cemetery with Masonic honours.
