23 January 1925: Uddingston - Colliery Accident - On Friday afternoon last week Thomas M'Culloch, fireman, residing at 9 West Avenue, Viewpark, was found lying between the rails on the underground haulage road in Blantyre Ferme Colliery, severely injured on back and partly unconscious and was removed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
