- Crushed by waggons. The death occurred in Stirling Royal Infirmary on Monday afternoon of John McBryde (33), assistant foreman, 12 MilIhall Cottages, Millhall, by Stirling, a few minutes after admission following an accident at the briquette plant at Millhall Colliery. McBryde was caught and crushed between railway wagons on a siding at the plant and his death was due to haemorrhage in the abdomen. The wagons were being manhandled at the time. (Stirling Observer).
