Deceased was at work when his son, who was gobbing dirt in an old trolley road near, called to him to assist him in raising the trolley which had got off the rails. In doing so he strained his ankle, but worked to the end of his shift. He died a week later, and the medical evidence at the inquest was that death was due to pulmonary embolism, the result of an accident to the ankle.
