- Fall of coal from the face, it having been given off at a sooty grime which can up from a reverse slip and could not be seen. Generally I have found the places in this colliery spragged and kept in good order but the coal which is about 7 feet thick requires to be well spragged whether overhanging or not, and this was not done in this case.
