Details of Event
Fall of roof at working face. The working place had been reported by the Examiner as undergoing "squeeze" when he made his examination before the shift, and apparently the deceased (and others working near him) had been told of it. In attempting to pass up through the face to get some tools the roof fell in killing him instantaneously. The place should have been fenced off.
