- Details of Event
- Deceased was lifting an empty tub on to the rails at the gate-end when he slipped and died before leaving the mine. The medical evidence after a post-mortem examination was that deceased had heart-disease of long-standing, and the heart might fail at any time. The verdict of the jury was "that his death was accelerated by slipping down".
