- Caught by runaway full tub when pushing an empty tub. The spunney brow rope broke or gave way where it had been tied in a knot, there were 5 such tyings in 55 yards, the rope ought to have been discarded, the spunney wheel had a piece of the flange broken on, so that the break rope slipped off and caught the haulage rope, the slightly additional strain caused one of the tied pieces to give way.
