Deceased was killed by having his head crushed between two loads on a level endless-rope haulage road. He attempted to push a journey of 9 loads into the pit bottom, by uncoupling the last one and attaching a clip to it so that the rope would pull it into the others and so set them in motion. He must have failed to push the single load far enough back and when the clip took hold on the rope he was jammed as stated.
