- Details of Event
- This accident occurred in a Thick Coal stall where the top measures only were being gotten. Deceased was getting up a piece of coal from the floor of the stall, when suddenly a large fall of the top slipper coal buried him. He was got out and taken to the hospital where he died on the same day. The fall came off at a slip at the front of the stall, and had a loose side at the back of stall; at the ends it broke off at wooden cogs. A small nob of coal in the centre of the stall was much crushed by the sudden weighting which occurred.
