Explosion of firedamp caused by electrical spark. 27 killed. Single man 34, Dan Lane, Golborne. Burned from head to foot, very severe over the lower part of the thighs back and front. Deep cut three inches long to the bone on the right side of the forehead caused post-mortem, bone not fractured at site of injury. Swelling over left upper arm and shoulder.
