Open verdict. Fallin Church Youth Club. The funeral to Bannockburn Cemetery on Saturday forenoon was one of the largest seen for some time. About 50 beautiful wreaths accompanied the cortege and the many mourners included Mr Halliday, manager at Millhall; Mr Sam Ovens, manager of Nos 3 and 4 pits, Fallin and senior NCB officials. Rev Mr Cant, Fallin, conducted the grave side service. (Stirling Observer).
