Details of Event
An engine house was being shot out in a nip out (where the stone was confused and irregular) in the Main Coal seam. A shot bad just been fired and the place was being examined afterwards by one of the contractors when a quantity of stone fell partly from the side and partly from the roof and caught deceased who was incautiously standing somewhat near. The master shifter had spent some time at the place during the shift.
