- 16 April 1929: Fatal Accident At Glencraig - William Berry, a middle-aged man employed by the Glencraig Coal Company, was instantaneously killed on Tuesday night while at work in No.2 Pit. The deceased was caught by a huge stone which fell from the roof, and several hours elapsed before the body could be extricated. Berry was a single man, living in lodgings in Lochgelly, and is thought to belong to Glasgow. [Dunfermline Journal 20 April 1929]
