- Details of Event
- There were no witnesses of the accident to this man. He was last seen alive at four in the afternoon doing his usual work the next time he was seen - about 9 pm. he was lying dead under a 10-ton truck. It is conjectured that in crossing between two trucks he had stepped on to the hook of the drawbar, slipped, and fallen and in falling had been stunned. In this condition he had been lying when some trucks were shunted into the siding and these joining up against them he had attempted to cross between had caused them to run over him. The hind wheels of the truck under which he was found were over the rails, and he had been dragged about 20 feet. He was badly injured and dead when found.
