- Deceased was working in a small opening 8 feet square extracting a Thick coal pillar found at the side of the road which was being brought back. The place was 8 feet high, and there was a small cog at the month of the opening. Deceased sat by this cog while the loader filled a tub, when suddenly a large fall of coal occurred and buried deceased. After 6 hours he was extricated bur was then dead. A thickness of about 9 feet of coal fell over the opening and into the road, and two settings were knocked out.
