- Deceased, for some reason unknown, left his horse in the stall from which he was drawing, and walked along an adjoining gateway to the face of the next stall in the Double Coal where his presence had not been noticed. A bump occurred, causing a piece of coal about 3ft. square and 3ft. 6ins. thick to burst off the face and fall upon him the coal had been holed and was standing on three sprags, one at the corner of the buttock, and two under sprags set about 4ft. apart at a distance of about 1ft. 6ins. from the back of the holing.
