- 14 November 1922: Miner Killed at Denny - A young man aged 21 years named Alexander Logie, miner's drawer, was instantaneously killed in Strepeside Pit, Denny, by a fall of stone. [Scotsman 16 November 1922]
Falls in Mine (b) Falls of Roof – He had rolled over some of the mid-stone, which, by projecting into the road, prevented the loading. Deceased was beginning to break it up when his head was crushed on it by a fall of a thin slab of roof which had just been exposed by the removal of the mid-stone.
