Fall of roof at face. While he was filling coal into a tram a piece of roof at the side of the opening in the rippings, overbalanced a post and fell upon him. He was so badly injured that he died on the 11th February. The roof is very jointy especially when wet as it was at this place. Shale roof. No.2 Rhondda seam. Naked lights.
