Having finished a lift off a pillar, deceased and his mate were about to commence to bring back a thin rib of stone, when the roof, which was well secured by timber, collapsed. This was due to the intersection of two backs. He died in Skinningrove Hospital of pneumonia on August 4th. He was not seriously injured.
