Deceased was walking out towards the shaft when he fell and hurt his knee. He continued to work for over a month, hut at last had to give it up. He complained of pain in the knee and head. Abscesses formed in his leg and were opened from time to time, but he ultimately died on May 25th, from pyaemia and suppurative periostatitis.
