Details of Event
He fired a shot with an electric battery in the ripping of a roadway. He stood about 40 yards away partly protected by the timbering of the road. A piece of stone blown from the shot struck him on the thigh and injured him so seriously that he died on the 21st inst. The explosive was Saxonite.
