Details of Event
He was going his round of inspection and had nearly reached the top of a gate when a large piece of stone fell from the roof between two caunches of ripping and killed him. The fall disclosed some fine weight breaks running across the gate in addition to a main break which could be seen running up the gate. The roof was a damp one and the lower seams were worked.
