Deceased was cleaning up some coal at the face of a drift in the Ten Feet seam when a large rate of coal 7 feet 6 inches long, 1 foot 6 inches thick and 7 feet 10 inches high came way from two hidden slips. The fall struck him on the head and crushed him against an adjacent post killing him instantly.
