      - Details of Event
- Deceased was employed at brickworks owned by the Colliery Co. and was on his way along a tramway to work having overslept himself. He got on to a set of loaded tubs being drawn by a rope from the mine's mouth to the screens. The rope is knocked of before the tubs arrive at the stopping place but on this occasion the knock-off failed to act and the tubs went further than usual and deceased was caught at the knock-off.
