Deceased was pulling down some clod above the coal in the Two Yard Seam with his pick, having previously withdrawn two supporting sprags. In falling, the clod crushed him against a prop which had been set to support the roof, about 4 feet from the longwall face. He died from the effects of the accident on the 19th instant.
