Details of Event
A wagon had been tilted up by some chalk which had rolled down from a mill near which deceased was working. He came down to right it, and while doing so about 5 cwts of chalk slipped from a vertical joint and fell upon him, causing injuries to which he succumbed 9 days later. The chalk had probably been loosened by frost and thaw which had alternated.
