Whilst levering stone up on a sloping bench 10 feet above the quarry bottom, piece of stone suddenly broke off, causing bar to jerk up. Deceased slipped from the ledge, immediately a stone of 6 cwt. fell on to him, this stone had been disturbed by the barring operations.
